Editorial Policy
Movieshala covers Telugu cinema — Tollywood news, OTT releases, biographies, reviews, box-office reporting, and behind-the-scenes features. Every article on this site follows the editorial standards below.
Sourcing
News stories cite the original source whenever possible — production company press releases, official social-media handles of actors and directors, trade publications, and verified industry contacts. When we aggregate from another publication, we link to it and credit the original reporter.
Fact-checking
Box-office numbers are cross-referenced against at least two trade trackers (e.g., Sacnilk, Track Tollywood) before being published as a headline figure. Biographical details (age, family, filmography) are verified against the subject’s Wikipedia page, official social media, or interviews on record.
Opinion vs reporting
We label opinion clearly. Reviews, editorials, and “best of” lists carry the writer’s name and represent that writer’s view. Straight news reports avoid speculative framing and clearly attribute claims.
AI-assisted drafting
Some article drafts are generated with AI assistance and are reviewed by our editor for factual accuracy, originality, and Telugu cinema relevance before publishing. Articles flagged by our internal QA system as having AI-cliché patterns, low originality, off-niche focus, or insufficient sourcing are sent back for human revision and never published as-is.
Updates
When new information emerges, articles are updated with a clear note on the update. Major box-office stories receive day-by-day updates as collections develop.
