WOW Song Teaser: Varun Dhawan’s Hai Jawani Track Explained

The WOW song teaser from Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai arrived on 22 April 2026. Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde led the colourful dance promo. The earlier version of this page misidentified the clip as a teaser for a song named after the film. That detail is now corrected, along with the film’s final release and streaming information.

Tips Official described the clip as a preview of “WOW.” The complete track followed on its verified channel the next day. Since then, the film has also moved through its trailer launch, theatrical run and digital release. So this page now records what the teaser was and who made the song. It also tracks where the film ended up.

WOW Song Teaser: Quick Facts

• Full song: uploaded by Tips Official on 23 April 2026.
• Featured stars: Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde.
• Singers: Harrdy Sandhu and Kiran Bajwa.
• Music composers: Tanishk Bagchi, Rony Ajnali and Gill Machhrai.
• Lyricists: Rony Ajnali and Gill Machhrai.
• Choreography: Bosco Leslie Martis.
• Film director: David Dhawan.
• Producer: Ramesh Taurani for Tips Films Ltd.
• Theatrical release: 5 June 2026.
• OTT release: 31 July 2026 on ZEE5.

The key correction is simple: the 22 April upload was the WOW song teaser, not the film’s first-look teaser. The first-look teaser had already arrived earlier in April and used AI-generated toddlers as part of the promotional concept. Those were two separate pieces of marketing.

What the WOW Song Teaser Actually Showed

The WOW song teaser sold the track as a high-energy dance number rather than a story-heavy preview. Its job was to unite Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde in a glossy party setting. Then it left viewers with the hook and choreography before the full video landed.

That distinction matters because the old article mixed the song campaign with the film campaign. A song teaser can reveal costumes, dance style and musical tone without explaining the plot. Meanwhile, a film teaser usually sells characters, conflict and story. In this case, Tips separated those jobs across several promotional drops.

You can still watch the original WOW teaser on Tips Official. The upload description identifies it directly as the “WOW Song Teaser” and lists the credited singers, composers and choreography team.

WOW Song Teaser vs the Film’s First-Look Teaser

There were two clips that were easy to confuse in April. The film’s first-look teaser introduced the romantic-comedy setup and drew attention for its AI-generated toddlers. The WOW song teaser, released later, focused only on the dance track and its three lead stars.

This sequence also explains why some early reports look contradictory now. Promotional dates changed during the campaign, and several articles kept the earlier 22 May theatrical date. Tips Films later confirmed 5 June 2026 as the final cinema release date.

Who Sang and Composed WOW?

Harrdy Sandhu and Kiran Bajwa perform “WOW.” Tips credits Tanishk Bagchi, Rony Ajnali and Gill Machhrai as the composers. Rony Ajnali and Gill Machhrai wrote the lyrics. Bosco Leslie Martis handled the choreography, which made movement central to the song’s promotional identity.

The full video followed the WOW song teaser almost immediately. Tips Official uploaded the complete track on 23 April, and the label’s own music page lists the same release date. That makes the old page’s prediction that the song might arrive close to the film’s theatrical release clearly outdated.

For the verified song credits and official links, see the Tips Music page for WOW. It is the cleanest source for the track’s credited singers, composers, lyricists, cast and production banner.

Why the Song Fits David Dhawan’s Film

The filmmakers designed “WOW” as a broad commercial dance track, so it matches the film’s larger comic tone. David Dhawan’s movie leans on romance, family confusion and ensemble comedy. It also uses big musical set pieces rather than a quiet, realistic style. The song therefore works as a mood-setter more than a plot clue.

The film stars Varun Dhawan with Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde. The supporting cast includes Maniesh Paul, Chunky Pandey, Jimmy Shergill and Mouni Roy, according to Tips Films. Ramesh Taurani produced the film, while Yunus Sajawal wrote the story and screenplay and Farhad Samji handled the dialogue.

The official trailer, released on 22 May, expanded that setup into a mix of love, confusion and family drama. Viewers who only saw the WOW song teaser therefore saw just one bright, dance-led slice of a much broader comedy.

What Happened After the WOW Song Teaser?

After the WOW song teaser, the promotional campaign kept adding new songs and a full trailer before release. The key milestone was the official trailer on 22 May 2026. Tips Films published it with the final 5 June theatrical date.

The film then opened in cinemas on 5 June. That final date matters because the original version of this page said the movie would arrive on 22 May. The date changed during the campaign, so the old wording became stale even before the theatrical run began.

Where Is Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai Streaming?

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is streaming on ZEE5 in India. ZEE5 lists the film as available from 31 July 2026, after its cinema release on 5 June. The platform gives the runtime as 2 hours 16 minutes and lists the audio language as Hindi.

The ZEE5 synopsis follows Jass, played by Varun Dhawan, and his strained marriage to Bani. Their plans for the future clash. His life then grows more complicated after a new romance with Preet. That makes the bright confidence of the WOW song teaser an intentionally lighter piece of the overall story.

You can check the current availability on the official ZEE5 movie page. Streaming rights can change over time, so the platform page is a better source than old pre-release reports.

Did the Teaser Tell Us Anything About the Plot?

Not much, and that was by design. The song teaser focused on dance energy, styling and the lead trio. It did not explain the film’s complicated relationships. Anyone using it as a plot summary would miss most of the film’s actual setup.

The earlier film teaser and later trailer did more story work. They put Varun Dhawan at the centre of a romantic tangle with Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde. The full film then adds marriage, family pressure and escalating misunderstandings. The WOW song teaser is best read as a music-first promo.

This is also why one song teaser cannot reliably predict a film’s box-office fate. Music-video engagement and theatrical turnout measure different things. Our guide to how Indian box-office collections are tracked explains the gap between early hype and audited performance data.

What the Old Version Got Wrong

The previous article had several problems that made it unreliable after April. First, it treated “Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hi Hai” as the song name. The actual 22 April teaser promoted “WOW.” It also used a film-title spelling that does not match Tips Films. The official title is Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.

Second, it said the full song had no confirmed release date, yet the complete “WOW” video followed on 23 April. It also predicted the song might arrive close to the cinema release, which did not happen.

Third, the old copy presented social reaction, chart success and future promotional events as facts without reliable sourcing. We removed those statements. The refresh now separates confirmed studio information from interpretation and uses the official Tips and ZEE5 pages for changeable details.

Why the Release Date Changed

Early promotions carried a 22 May date, which is why many April reports repeated it. By late May, however, Tips Films’ official trailer and advance-booking material clearly promoted 5 June 2026. The refreshed page uses the final studio-confirmed date rather than preserving an outdated announcement.

This is a common problem with pre-release movie coverage. Dates can shift because of distribution plans, competing titles or campaign changes. Old articles often remain indexed after the schedule moves. For that reason, studio-owned channels should take priority over early third-party listings.

The release-date correction does not require changing this page’s URL. Google may already have indexed the existing slug, so it should stay in place. It contains the old title wording. The visible title and article body can still use the correct official film name.

WOW Song Teaser: What Still Matters Now

The WOW song teaser remains useful as a snapshot of the film’s music campaign. It shows how Tips positioned the movie around dance, glamour and lead chemistry. The full trailer later explained the larger story.

It also marks a useful point in the marketing timeline. The first-look teaser sold the romantic-comedy concept, while “WOW” sold the party energy. The trailer then sold the plot. ZEE5 now carries the finished film for viewers who missed cinemas.

For fans arriving months after the original teaser, that full timeline is more useful than old speculation. You can watch the teaser, compare it with the complete song, then move straight to the final film. Nothing is still “coming soon.”

Key Takeaway

The most important correction is that the 22 April clip was the WOW song teaser. The full “WOW” video followed on 23 April, and the official trailer arrived on 22 May. The movie opened on 5 June. ZEE5 began streaming it on 31 July.

That sequence replaces the old page’s predictions with confirmed outcomes. It also keeps this URL focused on the song promo. Separate pages can cover the AI first-look teaser and theatrical performance without competing for this intent.
